Mexico @ Village au Pied du Courant

We collaborated with La Pépinière, creators of Village au Pied du Courant, between 2018 and 2022 to produce the day dedicated to Mexico on the most visited temporary beach in Montreal.

VAPDC is a space that responds to the community's desire to enjoy green and inclusive spaces where the participation of local initiatives develops, builds, animates, and keeps the public space alive.

siete|media shares this interest and responded to this initiative by producing, organizing, and operating today's traditional and long-awaited Mexico Day in the Village where visitors from all over the world could enjoy the spirit of Mexican culture from its different angles. Popular traditions, dance, music, visual arts, literature, and gastronomy were presented by members of the large Mexican community residing in Montreal.

Puente México-Canadá

"Mexico @ The Village" is a great opportunity for Mexicans, Canadians, and people from around the world to experience the warmth of Mexican culture. Through our yearly collaboration with Mexican artists living in Montreal, we provided a platform for restaurant owners, chefs, musicians, DJs, dance collectives, designers, artisans, and traders to showcase their talent and connect with an audience interested in experiencing the rich culture of Mexico. By bringing these talented individuals together, we aimed to foster a deeper appreciation and understanding of Mexican culture and its people.

Special thanks to Edgar Osorio (DJ Master Gajo), the Consulate General of Mexico in Montreal, The Mexican Institute of Culture, PAAL and MUTEK for their support in organizing different versions of the event over the years.
